KidSparkz Curriculum

At Northwest Georgia Christian Academy, we believe learning happens best when it feels natural, joyful, and connected to children's everyday experiences. The KidSparkz curriculum provides the framework, and our teachers bring it to life throughout the day in meaningful ways.

The KidSparkz curriculum is a thoughtfully designed, developmentally-appropriate early childhood program tailored for toddlers. Built on a foundation of hands-on, interaction-based learning, it supports the whole child—from emergent literacy to creative expression and social-emotional growth.

Abeka Curriculum

Our Pre-K (K4) class uses the Abeka curriculum—a warm, traditional, and faith-based program designed to foster early academic readiness and Christian character. Through organized lesson plans, hands-on materials, and cross-subject integration, young learners experience:

  • Creative and sensory learning through crafts, songs, story time, and poems

  • Language enrichment with visuals and discussions on everyday topics

  • Spiritual formation and character building, woven into every lesson

  • Structure and clarity for both teachers and children, with thoughtfully prepared schedules and materials

  • Strong literacy and math foundations via phonics, number sense, and meaningful practice

Specials

Science & Discovery

Through interactive experiments and exploration, students develop curiosity about the world God created. Science lessons spark critical thinking and discovery as children investigate nature, technology, and everyday wonders.

Chapel & Christian Education

Weekly chapel time allows students to gather together to worship, learn Bible stories, and grow in their faith. These lessons encourage character development, kindness, and a strong foundation in Christian values.

Learning Through Play

Play is at the heart of early childhood development, offering opportunities to build social, emotional, and problem-solving skills. Children learn best when they are actively engaged, and this time nurtures creativity, independence, and collaboration.

Music & Movement

Children engage in singing, rhythm, and movement activities that build coordination, listening skills, and joy in self-expression. This special fosters an appreciation for music while also supporting memory, language development, and teamwork.

Arts & Crafts

Through hands-on projects, students explore color, texture, and form while learning to express their creativity. Art encourages imagination, problem-solving, and confidence as children create meaningful works to share and celebrate.
